It's not scamming the system, It is TRU policy. If you buy something at regular price and it goes on sale within the next 2 weeks you can get it for the sale price or event price. It MUST be regular price though.

Why?
We live in a capitalist society my friend, and if you're not loking out for yours, someone will take it...

I managed retail clothing stores for years as a younger man and I would never have any problem with a customer missing a deal by a few days and coming back to get the savings...as a matter of fact, I would encourage it and so would the ownership group.

I've spent 100's, maybe 1000's on tfs and other toys at TRU and in this one instance I missed a deal by 2 days...

I could go in and buy the same thing and get it for 30% cheaper...thats not taking advantage IMO.

If it is, then I'd say TRU was taking advantage of me by not informing me of this sale prior to purchase and giving me the option to wait. This is one reason why big box stores have firm return policies int he first place.

I'm going to take my 2 roddys back and will update this thread on how it went.

no they don't. they sometimes don't even honor their own sales. like the whole $10 voyagers a during ROTF. the ad read "transformers voyagers $10 reg 29.98. I brought up some animated and universe voyagers and they would not honor the sale in the ad. I had to go over their heads to the DM and got them for $10 each. Universe inferno X2, animated skywarp (crappy figure...returned because he was busted right outta the box) and Univeser dropshot (?) the tank guy.
