MP Soundwave @ TRU.CA

Tru will probably honor all preorders, as Canada's shipment of MP Soundwave are already in the warehouse. Whatever is left over after filling all the preorders will than be distributed to the stores. The entire purpose of a preorder is a guarantee to get a product before it hits the shelves.

They will probably honor all pre-orders but it may take them to December to get them all out. The US is having a hard time with the demand in-store and already pre-order demand.

I don't know what is going to happen after Christmas but I have heard they are only getting 1000 units to disrupt across Canada in December for all TRU's and I believe its only 30-40 before then. So it will be interesting to see who gets their Soundwave first the Preorders or the Store.

But be weary on TRU shipping if your an Inbox collector as they aren't very nice with their mail. I do know Robokingdom has them up for pre-order for mid-august.

I was under the understanding that TRU and TRU.CA are different entities and would thusly be having their own inventory/distribution. What TRU is getting and what TRU.CA have are two different things... not a combined total.

That is true.


Goodluck with a not dented box from TRU.ca. They don't bother putting much or any insulation for the things they ship out.

At best you get brown kraft paper crumpled up. But the figure inside the box should be fine.

Yes the disruption is different meaning the US will probably get more than Canada but that doesn't mean the shipping handling is. They are also handling the preorders and instore stocks different as they are still trying to fill Preorder but the Stores are getting them at the same time. Instead of fullfilling preorder FIRST and then sending out the remaining quantities to the stores. It would take too much time to fullfill all the backup they got online.

I think they the Olympic Games with their shipments and then you gotta think they toss it onto the truck and out it goes. I have never heard a good story about TRU aside from it just arriving quickly. LOL

If it is shipped in December then it would be a second run. More than likely it's just a placeholder date though. The reason there is a hard time with demand in the US (aside from hype and scalpers) is because the distribution is uneven, some stores get 20 some stores get 2 and some not at all.

He's not saying TRU USA is separate from TRU Canada. He's saying the online store is separate from the regular stores you can walk into.

He's not saying TRU USA is separate from TRU Canada. He's saying the online store is separate from the regular stores you can walk into.

December is the second shipment as they are sending one out early September - Late October with less units. That's a no brianer. Thank you captain Obvious o_O. Scalpers can not scalp these as its one person per Mp Soundwave. So unless they are coming back every day to grab one which we should go and steal their tactics because its is Impossible to get one EVERY DAY the way they are selling. And they can't hold them sooo...

TRU US and TRU Canada is different no matter if its online or instore. But whether online or offline it still comes from the same Warehouse. So if the Warehouse is holding 1000 units for across Canada then thats all they have. The again, thats what I have heard. I don't know if its true and they probably were not expecting to get so many on the preorder boat like the US didn't. So it will be surprising if they fill the preorders before getting to store or doing the same thing the US are doing.


The Online Store does not have their own warehouse. But the US Warehouse and Canada Warehouse are different.

All i said is that the US will probably get more in their Warehouse than Canada.

I have ordered many things from TRU.ca and I can say for a fact that the packaging is not TFSCOURCE BULLETPROOF Quality but it is better than them just throwing it in a box mine ussually come with stryofoam peanuts

they are starting to have it in NY, so if u happen to travel stateside for shopping give it a try. i got mine at rochester NY but i had to tell them to check the back and waited 5-10mins to get a bunch out. limit one box per customer of course

I have only order one thing, luckily not a collector item and I will never do it again. It looked like the box was chewed through, stepped and literally sat on. We figured the driving was so long, his seat might've got uncomfy. The best thing was me trying to return it and the ladies face at the desk. But the doll itself was fine and it didn't come with any packing.

Yes. I got mine in Hamburg NY after traveling to 2 other TRU in NY on Monday but on Saturday they told me No one across in NY state had any. Luckily they were just stocking yours. My mine was the last one left.
