Re: NHL 2012 Discussion

Any of you savvy dudes know a place that streams games online? I won't have cable this yeaR and would still like to catch a few games.

Similarly, does TSN put sportscenter online?

I think NHL.com streams games, but there's always the radio option at worst case. TSN and Sportsnet stream highlights. So you can watch highlights from each game. Navigation on those highlights can be a bit of a pain because sometimes, for me at least, it's hard to figure out what highlights are from that night. Though they are listed in chronological order.

I have it. It's part of my building's package so it's free.

But if you enjoy watching the Leafs, it's worth it.

Why I watch it:
-the Leafs game (live, whenever the game is not on the other channels)
-the next day (or right after the game finishes) they replay the game in it's entirety
-"Game in an Hour", replaying 1 hour of the exciting parts of an old game (really old to previous game)
-Leaf Classics - playing an entire old game along with an interview with an old Leaf vet. (one of my fav old game was Leafs vs Blues at the Gardens in the 93 playoffs, double OT and Gilmour does the wraparound to score)

Re: NHL 2012 Discussion

Man, today I'm in McDonalds and overhear a group of people whining about the Canucks shoot out loss. I shake my head. They're talking like the 'nucks are going to go 0-82 and should trade everyone away. Sorry for a bit of a rant, but Man, I'm so sick of these people who claim to know hockey, but really don't, flying off the handle so soon on a team that went to the 7th game of the cup finals. It's like they don't realize how good we got it here in Vancouver. Is the team perfect? No. But we have an exciting team with the last two Art Ross trophy winners and owners who spend to the cap limit every year. It's not a question of if we make the playoffs its a question of how far we go in them. I mean, how would they like to be a fan in Phoenix, Florida, or Nashville? Don't get me wrong, I think the fans have every right to be critical, but it's one game in, Chicken Little. Even Detroit doesn't win every game or the cup every year, but they keep their team on top and have a shot each year. Ok rant over.
