2008/2009 Cybertron.ca Fantasy Hockey League

We'll use this thread to get things started this year. I just checked Yahoo and the hockey is not up and running yet... they say early September. I'm game for a head to head league this year (I've never been in one and sounds interesting). Post here if you are interested in joining this year. Also post up changes you would like to see in this year's league.

Trash talk can stay here or go back into the official NHL thread. This is just to separate the league for now... at least until we get it going.

I'm thinking of the draft being the same as last year, having an autodraft. I'd say we create a lottery system for the draft order (based on last year's standings). We would also give the new teams a fair shot at the higher draft picks (give them the same number of lottery picks as Robimus).

Anything else?

Let the games begin!!! The draft will be set to ready on Monday or Tuesday. That gives you enough time to get your players ranked if you want to do so. Generally, I believe the teams are drafted automatically shortly after the draft status is changed. Basically that is our point of no return and setting/additions/etc. cannot be changed after this point.

Let me know if there is something that needs tweaking.

I'm all for setting up the league here but then going back to the other thread...starting new threads everytime something hockey comes up is just crazy.

You layout sounds like a plan to me jourdo. Sucks that I have be 2nd last for drafting. I'll survive though i'm sure...anyone wanna drop Sid The Kid early this year for me ?!

Random drafting for all would be fine. It's not like you get to keep the players you had last year. I was just joking about getting first pick.

Yeah, he's on a tryout contract with a 3rd Division Irish beer league team!! I'm thinking 45 goals and 87 assists... you should make him your first pick... no fooling!!!
