Favorite Beast Wars Character

In honor of Waspinator going into the Hall of Fame lets do a small social experiment. Who is your favorite Beast Wars Character?

Honestly, it's always a tough decision. Every character was terrific in his own way. MainFrame put so much damn thought & effort into their personalities and abilities.

When I consider everybody in the show, however, Rhinox is the top of the list. He's powerful but does not flaunt it, much happier to stay at the base, inventing & healing. He desires peace but will do what is necessary to achieve it. As we saw in episodes, he is perhaps the Maximal to be most feared - when he became a Predacon, he took them out almost with ease. He was slow to anger, but that anger was powerful. He had heart, spirit, and poetry inside...

And the twin Chainguns O' Doom. Yup.

Beast Machines most visible sign of failure is in Rhinox/Tankor. It shows how Skir & co completely misunderstood Rhinox as a character. As established... "Rhinox would not have made that decision."

I view Beast Machine's Rhinox/Tankor simply as Rhinox losing his sanity in the process of losing his body.

It's a stretch I know but it does make it stand up a bit better under interrogation.

Well about Rhinox, wasn't the whole point that he didn't control what ended up doing down, and that losing one of the core cast members without truly letting him (Rhinox) pass on after recently coping with the deaths of those back on earth helped set the morbid & hopeless mood of the early Beast Machines episodes? I mean sure, they lost Tigerhawk & Depth Charge close to the end of Beast Wars, but the latter of which they barely knew (as cool as he was), and Tigerhawk was on borrowed time to begin with. If anything, I've always believed that he let himself be destroyed intentionally for the sake of actually being allowed to rest with Airazor, instead of being reanimated the way he/they was.

Along with that, it made more sense for the least evolved & organic bots (Rhinox & Silverbolt) to fall the easiest to Megatron's virus instead of one of the Transmetals, and the same goes for those guys being the ones they searched for.

That's why when I think about it, Rhinox wasn't useless in Beast Machines at all, and the fact that us as the fans didn't like what happened to him on a personal level makes it matter.

I have only watched a handful of episodes, just grabbed all 3 seasons recently. For now I'll say dinobot as well, that could change as I watch more. Grabbed Universe Dinobot too. I don't plan on collecting BW but figured I should at least get one :P
