Re: The Refraktors Dilemma

I kept the Reconaissance 3 pack boxset because there was nothing else like it. For the purple guys I had already purchased the Mech Fans Toys version in Legends+ scale so the choice was easy.

Re: The Refraktors Dilemma

I have the box set and I think it is great. I picked it up on sale from TRU with the F&F discount added back in November. I also have the Toyhax label set added to mine, which adds some details that I think are must haves.

I also have the MFT set, which gives me a toon version at a legend scale, which feels a little closer to cartoon scale IMO.

Same

Maybe if I find a retail deluxe one for cheap, might pick it up, but since got the 3-pack, ain't a big deal either way

Re: The Refraktors Dilemma

Don't get me wrong. Refraktor is a cool Transformer; and I like his UFO mode; but since I can't figure out why fans are talking about him after months of silence, I'm making this post so I can unsubscribe from the thread because I'm more partial to the one about Transformers collected in 2020.

The price for Refraktor is sinking fast. I bought both brand new Reconnaissance set and 3x retail from scalpers for $60 each.

I am beginning to lean towards the retail set as it better fits into my collection, though the Reconnaissance set is excellent.

When they're forced to sell at a loss when demand is at its lowest? Why not?

Re: The Refraktors Dilemma

I enjoy the reconnaissance set as it reeks of geekiness from the packaging, to the instructions and the toy. It’s just fun to hold, play with and stare at. In my collection there’s room for both sets as the purple guys are my pre earth squad that transform into their ufo modes instead of a camera.

I second that. Hasbro really hit it out of the park with the Reconnaissance set. I really wish I can keep both, but my budget just won't allow it... at least not without giving up other bots in my collection.

Are members messing with the vote or is it truly a dead heat between toon set, reconnaissance set and both...
