A bunch of good Canadian places to go but if you mean the same variety of items as bbts as in other than transformers nothing comes anywhere close to bbts for variety of everything.

Good Conversation...

Just tried Mandarake for the first time...good prices, used but often new items...worth a try.

That's not quite right, retailers are not the 'middle men' but the suppliers they buy from would be.

I would figure the reason why asian resellers sell at a better price would be the reduced cost (how close the manufacture/suppliers are) and the lack of need to switch currencies (from CAN to US and back again).

Personally I've gotten some pretty good deals from HLJ when the Yen isn't doing as well again the CAN dollar.

Jesus.

Who north of the boarder uses BBTS? Unless they actually like throwing your money at a dumpster fire?

Ive had good luck with Toy Trove & Canucktibles.

Madhaus (Slayback on here) is great for any Third Party needs.

Most other sites Ive been bit with either inflated US pricing, crazy shipping costs or the ever lovely custom taxes right at your front door.

Another option are board members bere. Ive met with a bunch and had success filing in gaps in my collection at good prices.

So then Canadian sellers are the tertiary seller. Regardless, it is cheaper. I don't know how Canadian sellers stay in business with the American dollar taxes and shipping.

Re: I need a new Online store (preferably canadian) Not BBTS

I've had pretty good luck with A3U for my collection.

For TF variety, I second the vote for Mandarake, followed closely by Jungle Japan. Most of my collection comes from them, and their goods may be second-hand, but if you wait/lurk patiently, the sealed stuff comes up. The other usual suspects (Nippon Yasan, HLJ) all have their role as well.

The observation about currency fluctuations is valid, along with batching shipments (HLJ has a Pile of Loot equivalent; Mandarake and Jungle make you watch carefully for which site the item is actually located), and figuring in shipping, CBSA duty charges, and taxes. If you time and price it right, the overseas prices can best the North American online purchase prices handily.

One caveat: the 3P market is vastly different for the non-NA sites. As in, much smaller/limited.
