Re: Ridiculously Out To Lunch

At least selling for and sold for are two very different things.

That Grimlock is also broken and missing parts...lol

Re: Ridiculously Out To Lunch

I've had experience with a buyer where emails were traded back and forth and it seemed that the buyer was ok with the listed price. They said they wanted to meet up but I wanted to make sure the price is still ok as it was never discussed. Once I brought up the price, the person goes, Oh, I was hoping you could sell it at 40% less than the asking price. Thank god I didn't waste my time and gas to meet up this person who would have tried to bargain in person instead.

Guess my tip is: Determine the price before meeting up. As a buyer, don't meet up to try and negotiate the price again unless the product was not as advertised.

I had that happen to me as well. Except the guy started trying to deal when we met up. Pissed me right off.

I don't mind haggling, but that's when you email and PM each other. Once you meet up, it's assumed that the buyer is ok with the price.

I recall meeting up with some guy off CL, price and location of transaction was agreed upon. When I arrived, I decided to sit and wait in my car while facing the pick up location (it was cold). I see a guy pacing around the upper floor checking his phone (was arranged to meet at the lower floor) and when I called and text he wouldn't pick up.

In the end it never happened but I'm glad I waited in my car, had a feeling something wasn't right.
