Re: PROJECT EVIL JETFIRE - Decepticon

Small update:

- So most of the parts are all primed and sanded.
- 1/2 of the jet has been painted white

Here's a quick dry fit of the cockpit area...

* oh yes the chest piece is broken but not to worry this is my test one. I am going to see what the out come of the purple looks like before I try it on the good one.

Re: PROJECT EVIL JETFIRE - Decepticon

Can you mix the paint to color match to the stickers a bit more?

Re: PROJECT EVIL JETFIRE - Decepticon

Yeah I could... but what I may do is cut the stickers up and remove the purple and just hand paint the rest to match. Or I may just do a 2 tone purple....

Re: PROJECT EVIL JETFIRE - Decepticon

ok so I decided to go with the 2 different purples. The paints apps show up more in Jet mode where as in bot mode the stickers look cool w/ the 2 tone. But it's coming along slowly... still need to paint a few more parts for the legs. Also up next is the chest piece to be painted.

Re: PROJECT EVIL JETFIRE - Decepticon

Another Update:

I have finished off most of the heavy priming and painting. The chest piece is 1/2 done, just going to wait a day or so before I mask it off for the black paint. In putting this thing together I broke a leg piece (&$#@^*) good thing a have a few extras. I also started applying the stickers which look sweet.
Now I won't be starting the add-on armor till a week or so from now. Still waiting for some pieces to come in.

So I'll only be showing jet mode pics from now on till the end... just to keep you wanting to see more.

Oh yeah not sure why the stickers are coming out looking blue!... Maybe it's poor lighting?

Looks fantastically sexy so far!

Did you use different paint to prime the metal and plastic parts? Or is there one paint that does it all?
