Masterpiece Fortress Maximus (Autobot City Mode is finished)

First of all, I want to give a HUGE thank-you to all of the great kitbashers across the various websites for inspiring me to do this project, as well as those who have directly helped me along the way (a master list of which will be included with the final showcase thread).

This first thread features Spike, the Headmaster parter of Cerebros. Spike has been given upper & lower body articulation as well as a brand new paint job. I used bits from Universe Cyclonus' targetmaster buddy (forget his name), Perfect Effect Shadow Warrior and a G1 Spike. I used a base coat of Testors dark blue, then went over that with Folkart blue sapphire acrylic.

I've also included a video on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bbSYuLG-xoA

As always, comments and productive critiques are always welcome.
Enjoy!

Wow, a G1 spike and a PE shadow warrior-an expensive-ass tiny plastic man any head mode pics?

Masterpiece Fortress Maximus: FORTRESS/CEREBROS (2 of 3)

Before I go any further, I'd like to give a huge thanks to Frenzy_Rumble for helping out with this figure. Now, on to the good stuff...

Here is a link to the first of the set, Spike: http://www.cybertron.ca/boards/showthread.php?t=22693

Without further adieu, I give you FORTRESS (as seen in the Japanese Headmaster version). Also presented (thanks to an alternate G1 head from bradforj) is CEREBROS, as seen in season 3 of the original G1 'toon. It now features articulated legs/knees as well as forearm/elbow movement and a more 'toon accurate paint job.

I used a combination of gunship gray and silver argent on the figure, then did some panel-lining and used only a few stickers/labels to add a bit more detail to the overall look. I also created a "Sword Station" to hold the Master Sword, as seen in the Japanese Headmaster toon. In addition to that, there is an alternate G1 Cerebros head (courtesy of bradforj).

As always, constructive comments & critiques are welcome.

This only means one thing...the big guy is next. Enjoy!

Re: Masterpiece Fortress Maximus

This gets my vote for custom of the year. Don't even need to see the rest.

Thanks, dude. Although there are TONS of customs out there that beat my effort by a mile, I appreciate the comment nonetheless.
