Magnus or Sideswipe

So, I was going to be picking up a figure later on today and the choice is between FoC Ultra Magnus and FoC Sideswipe and I was wondering which one you guys thought was a better figure?

Magnus, no question. Sideswipe's mold (FOC Jazz) is just a mess, and no amount of overcompensation (see his weapon) can make up for it!

But if you had to pick one, go for ol' blue.

I would pick up an Ultra Magnus and see how the third party armour sets come along for them. Personally I am into the metallic Takara editions. So much nicer in the paint apps.

As others said, they both suck.
However if u have to pick from them, I would choose Sideswipe. Because there are quite a few much better Ultra Magnus mold released recently, like TFP Ultra Magnus and BH Ultra Magnus (coming, remold of RID Optimus Prime). While there is nothing for Sideswipe. (Unless u can get hold of MP one)

Magnus, though I'd almost buy Sideswipe for the gun alone.

Do you have FOC Optimus or FOC Jazz? If you have one of them, get the other mold.

Greater range of poseability between the 2 figures goes to Ultra Magnus.- thats range without looking like a complete wad. That being said - i will agree with Null (also because i sell this stuff) that the Takara colours are infinitely better than Hasbro's. They do make the figure much better. The candy apple red help out sideswipe's otherwise drab mold, and the metallic blue makes MAgnus almost a different figure compared to his navy blue.

Like everyone else I would choose Magnus. Plus he comes with an awesome sword that can combine with his gun-that's 3 weapons for the price of 2.

Sideswipe is better than Jazz for the examples I own. I like having both however. BUT Magnus is far superior to Prime. Still get them all, the redeco's in wave 3 are all worth owning.
