were there ever any REALLY ACCURATE army/etc style transformers toys?

the closest thing i can think of right now are the swindle/hound alternators, but those aren't really army vehicles.

also the stuff out now like highbrow/lugnut/etc are cool and all but what i want this for is for my fiancee's dad who actually likes old army toys, so it'd have to REALLY look like an actual old army vehicle, yknow?

Well technically not a transformer.... Gobot Destroyer was a really nice looking tank with metal and all.

Also Gobot Zero... heck here's a link to a gobot's page... they have some good looking army vehicle modes. They have diecast and they're relatively cheap http://www.toyarchive.com/Gobots/Reg...leGallery.html

There's quite a few gobots that would fit the bill I think, but I don't know if you're looking for strictly TF's?

Movie 1 Bonecrusher is based on a real world military mine remover.
