Re: Please don't play with your toys in the panel room.
This sounds like people being inconsiderate without intending to.
Some of these people probably didn't realize how distracting they were being and just needed to be reminded.

Here, Here. Ninjatron is right, a little consideration goes along way. We all love this con for everything it offers us, but there is a time and a place for everything.

Perhaps that was not a problem for your panels because you are just so captivating.
Last year there was this one dude sitting at the same row I was who just transformed this one toy back and forth during a panel, then put it down, picked up another one, and transformed that one back and forth. Then he put that one down and picked up the first toy again and transformed that one again. Clack clack claking the whole bloody while. It's like, come on, buddy! It's not like it's going to look any different the second time you fiddle with it! Just put it down and watch the panel!

Sound of a Transformer ratchet joint: *Clack*
Sound of Ninjatron snapping a neck: *Crack*
As much as I like Ninjatron, I have a healthy level of fear of him now.

Re: Please don't play with your toys in the panel room.
Nicely said, Ninjatron.
It's really important to be respectful in the panel rooms and everywhere else. Having been a moderator a few times, I have seen how people don't even notice how disturbing they are being. Sometimes by standing in inappropriate places, sometimes by making noise, sometimes by staying at the mic to ask numerous questions. It takes an extra effort to not simply get caught up in the excitement and really be considerate of others. If we enjoy and love TFcon, we should want all the people around us to enjoy it too.

Re: Please don't play with your toys in the panel room.
Hrrrmmm........ well guys then please don't do it, we will have plenty of time to play with your toys all weekend, specially if you go into a panel, you intend to WATCH the panel and not play with your toys. So please respect the needs of others, they are here to enjoy the show just as much as you do.
