Re: Anyone remember these?

I remember getting these at McD's as well. English only boxed version. Had a couple Velocitor's and a couple of the jets. The racecar seemed to be pretty hard to find back then. Didn't know there was a 4th one either, till this thread.

Re: Anyone remember these?

Yep. I still have the Plane from my Childhood. Distinctively remember getting mine from a Gas Station.

I've got at least a dozen of these guys that I'll be selling for cheap at TFcon.

Cheers!

Re: Anyone remember these?

I'm quite sure that I got mine from Esso at the time.

Does anyone remember back then when Esso had all kinds of free items for their customers (or cheap items - I'm not sure anymore if you had to pay for them). All kinds of random collectibles, different one's each month. I remember.

Yep. They were either free or like a dollar with gas purchase.

Things like Looney Tunes Glasses, Books, hats, etc.

Re: Anyone remember these?

Yeah, I remember getting them at McD's too.
My parents did take me to McD's every now and then, and never really filled up at Esso much, back in the day (the Petro-Canada was always closer). So while my memory is a tad hazy on this, I did find it unlikely that they were sold only at Esso (and not at McD's).

Re: Anyone remember these?

I know which ones you guys are talking about from Esso. They were road bots or something but these ones were specifically from McDonalds.

Wow, that's alot of info about these lil guys.
I don't recall getting these at McD's, but the Esso thing rings a few bells.

Re: Anyone remember these?

It might be possible that they were available at both in certain areas. I remember getting mine with my happy meals WAY back in the day. The original boxes don't have an esso logo or any golden arches that I can see but do have the TOMY name attached to them. check this link

Re: Anyone remember these?

Actually with all this discussion I am almost tempted to look for them again. I have 2 of the racecar if anyone wants to trade for the one called Velocitor (the pincher hand guy)
