Don't think chrome's involved, but these are the differences i spot
-Side grills painted
-golden cheeks
-white forearms and shoulder
.. it looks better, but not by much. I do like the white arms though.

The details under the windshield in robot mode are also painted.
Personally, I find it just looks too busy.

Don't know why, it kind of feels like a digibash to me? The reds are a bit too vibrant and the greys just look desaturated. Not a huge difference, but some nice additions. I like the white going all the way up the arm.
