Heh, a boat being chased around the city by an evil cop car, sparks flying everywhere as it scrapes along the road. Or would it drive around on a boat trailer without a car in front of it?
I kinda want to see what that would look like, if only for the comedic value
Anyways, the personality of BB in the movieverse is not quite like BB from Animated or G1.
They could have made the car red and called him Cliffjumper, or kept him yellow and called him Hotshot (or coloured blue, to keep in line with Cybertron) or they could have made him some new no-name character.
He could have been a different car, different colour, or different name. What made that character so popular was the personality they wrote for him, and the way they displayed him in the movies.
