Decision needed for Stratospheres

I dunno, I just stole that pic off the net somewhere. Although now that you mention it, if I re-christen him Leader-1, I sorta want him more.

Looking at the pic more... I think if you could cut the legs right above the shock-absorber-looking parts on the lower calves, somehow rebuild the part attached to the leg still into a foot, and call the remaining pontoons tonfas or something [keeping the shocks as handles] it might just work. Fashioning the feet would be hard, however, and there's the assumption that the pontoons would stay attached to the plane if they're detached from the legs. Oh, and that with small feet, he'd still be able to stand with his big backpack.

Pretty much the same size.

I just transformed him (Stratosphere) once and he's pretty cool. I thought the transformation would be slightly simpler, I was surprised to see he had real mechalive AND automorph gimmicks. The little bonus Prime is cool too. The backpack doesn't bother me too much, not any worse than the one found on GF Dreadrock.
