Re: Armada Optimus: some market research
i sold mine loose complete with a few kinks here and there (trailer electronics work but cab right arm/fist lights dont seem to work anymore) to a fellow cybertron.ca member for 20 bucks and i have posted it here for sale for months before someone got noticed
so im my opinion, based on the condition you mentioned for the set that you saw, i'd say 10 bucks as well, 15 if you are desperate. if you are spending over 20 bucks on this then i can only say that maybe you should have looked at my sales thread abit more often in the past :P

Re: Armada Optimus: some market research
Say, do people see the Powerlinx/Final Battle version come up at like 30$ as often as the first run Prime? I'd love to get it and seriously BBTS' asking price of 98.99$ US seems a little extreme for a repaint of a mold that isn't even ten years old.

Re: Armada Optimus: some market research
I think the Powerlinx version is easier to find than the original.

Re: Armada Optimus: some market research
I like the original much better than the Powerlinx version. That one just doesn't seem like Prime at all in combined mode.
And when in regular mode he seems more like Nemesis Prime, but just not quite. I think I sold mine at some TFCon years ago, kept Corona Sparkplug since he's a different sculpt.

Really? A quick search on E-Bay netted me 16 hits, all of them varying price wise between 59$-100$+ (Forget exact prices.) Definitely not 30$.

Re: Armada Optimus: some market research
Not to be "that guy" but supercon meant deluxe back in the day. Waves also broke down by .5 (wave 2, wave 2.5)
Still, supercon optimus prime was the best figure out of the line. In fact the first wave I ever bought in advance off eBay was prime & blurr. It was in January too... funny how I remember that.

Re: Armada Optimus: some market research
"Supercon" was Armada's Deluxe class
"Super" was Armada's Leader class
I think the Hasbro execs did this on purpose, hoping there would be confused parents picking up the Supercon version of Prime and disappointing their kids, then having to go out and get the proper Super version. And vice versa.
