eBay.ca or eBay.com?

Is there actually a difference in these two? Are there listings on the .com that are not on the .ca? What do you tend to use more?

I tend to stay on eBay.ca myself... not really sure why though.

Thoughts?

Re: eBay.ca or eBay.com?

Ebay.ca automatically gives you listings from sellers who specifically sell to areas including Canada. You can disable it after getting an initial search result, but it can be annoying though.

However...I also noticed that when I conduct a search on both ebay.ca and ebay.com, ebay.ca misses out on auctions that list available shipping to "Worldwide".

I like the .com website since it usually gives me more listings, but I need ebay.ca to give me more a more accurate value in Canadian funds, even though Paypal gouges my wallet.

I also find that sellers can be open to sell to Canada if you just send them a message if they can, even though they only ship to a certain area, like the United States only.

I use .ca too, I'm not really sure why. If .com lists more then maybe I should use that instead.

Re: eBay.ca or eBay.com?

I use the .com one myself as it's all in USD which seems to be the world currency of choice when buying and or selling on eBay.

And it's funny for the past year all my Canadian wheelings and dealings have been done exclusively either on TFW or here which has really made eBay.ca even more useless.

Matter of fact I've found that since this site has opened most except for a couple of sells have been through this board which has been a huge help

Ebay.com, and I even search Ebay sites from foreign countries to get even more interesting listings (like from UK or Italy).
