Re: Transformers quality control issues of 2010
My Dirge I just picked up has a loose/wiggly leg due to a poorly connected ball-joint, so he can't do any wide-legged poses. This seems to be the most frequent QC issue with new releases for me.

Re: Transformers quality control issues of 2010
Reveal the Shield Jazz and Tracks both seem to be cheaply made to me. They feel like knock offs and the paint apps are absolute crap or else just bland plastic. Quite disappointed.
I also thought Darkmount/Straxus felt/looked a bit cheap in terms of the quality of plastic.
If you look at Terradive or Battleblade BB, they look and feel quite nicely made. These just feel like afterthoughts which is a shame because the designs aren't bad at all.

Mine is really loose aswell, you should check out his Decepticon insignia aswell, the First run of these have a faulty one, with the triangle missing on the forehead piece.
It's minor but it annoys the hell out of me.

In commander mode DC's arms do not tab in place, nor does his chest. Once u attach the drones don't plan on touching it or the arms will pop out of the tabs/holes and hang loosely.
Smolder has since taken his place as he stands solidly.

Rallybots gave me a different problem. When I opened Doubleclutch, his elbows are loose and the balljoint has a tendency to pop out while transforming him. As for forming the Power-up mode, once I did this a few times, the arms have gotten better at holding onto the pegs (it just takes a bit of force). Any case, it doesn't matter as he got replaced with Huffer as soon as I saw him in commander mode.

Re: Transformers quality control issues of 2010
I've had very few problems that I can recall, the only ones that spring to mind are with Generations thrust, who's silver paint app on his shin was left off of half of one leg(easy fix), and my HftD Sonar's left leg won't stay on to save his life

Re: Transformers quality control issues of 2010
The new Reveal the Shield Bumblebee has very cheap plastic feel! Feels and looks worse than Battle in Space Rodimus in my opinion. And what's with that orange painted window (on blue plastic) on the new G2 Optimus Prime anyway? They should have used the same translucent orange plastic of the windshield for the side door windows. I am disappointed with some of these RTS figures that have terrible plastic and little to no paint apps.

Re: Transformers quality control issues of 2010
My Generations Red Alert has some issues with his right arm. After a few transformations it is really loose now. It won't hold a pose, it just droops to the side when he's in robot mode. Brutal!!!!

Re: Transformers quality control issues of 2010
My Generations Dirge's clip that holds the Plane nose to the body was damaged in package and the hinge on the left sholder where it folds out from the body is loose as well. Also noticed that his right Null-Ray/Missile Launcher doesn't hold in as well.
Other than that, it is an occasional loose joint that has been fixed with a little nail polish.

Re: Transformers quality control issues of 2010
Half of the newer deluxes I got all have stress marks:
Thunderwing: stress mark on the hand from holding gun
BiS Rodimus: Stress on left thigh
Cyclonus: balljoint sockets connecting to thigh
Tomahawk: shoulders
Anyone else having this kinda problem? O_o
