Transformers Masterpiece Soundwave Released at Canadian Retail

I ordered an Acid Storm, a Metroplex, and a Soundwave.

My AcidStorm came with a giant gash on the side of the box, like when they were opening the main carton, and there was no padding in the box, so AcidStorm was just shaken around in the TRU shipping box. I called TRU, and they said i could either return it or keep it. they couldn't replace it because there's none left. they did offer me a 10% off future purchase..

Metroplex came the same way (without the cut), but without padding. the corners were dinged a bit, and some parts were crumpled a little. I'm hoping to get one from Costco

i'm hoping the Soundwave i get will be in better condition, but so far, TRU is 0 for 2...

Starting to see some healthy stock at local TRU....So I guess all the pre-orders will be fulfilled.

46 Soundwaves at the Bowmac TRU on Broadway? "Healthy stock" is an understatement to say the least.

It's like we're the new Hong Kong and MP-02 SW is the new MP OP !

I hope the wealth gets spread more Eastward so everyone that wants one beyond The Rockies can savour in the awesome plastic crack win that is MP-02 Soundwave.

Just got an email from toys r us saying that my pre-order for soundwave has been cancelled. This was during the 25% off.
anyone else got the email?

I got "order confirmation" email at noon.
Then "cancelled" email at 2:30 pm

I was at TRU on High Tech Rd. in Richmond Hill on Saturday and the sales rep said that MP SW has been discontinued because it was a limited edition and won't be getting anymore in the future. Sorry to be bearer of bad news.

What?? Discountinued?? Doesn't make sense. What about the mold they created. They will probably re-release under a diffrent name package/box. But he will be called Masterpiece Soundblaster with Ratbat

question! (not sure if this is the right thread)


1. i pre-ordered the MP Soundwave and Acidstorm from TRU the DAY BEFORE the 25% off sale

2. so i called the CS line to get it price matched and they said, "yes the adjusted price will be what we charge your credit card"

3. i get my package; checked my statement and they charged me retail pricing

4. so i called them w/reference# and they pretty much said "your order is under review; we will contact you"


am i being too anxious? i've never really dealt with the TRU CS before... help?

From my understanding, all orders that had the sale price adjusted after the fact were charged full price and were issued refund after the item was shipped. I would think the 'under review' is them processing your refund. I would think you would receive said refund sometime this week.

Also: My Soundwave just shipped from TRU.ca.
