Hey Timmy, glad you could make it into work today... I know you just walked a kilometre in the blizzard to make what little hours you have left here, so here's this stick. We need you on the corner in case people don't know we're having sales. Bundle Up.

Well, maybe it's busy work.

Maybe it's like, I don't have any work for Timmy, but I can't lay him off, so I'll just have him hold this sign.

I'd rather just go home.

I'd rather get paid and have the money. Some people have bills to pay and just can't say no to the money. Otherwise, they won't have a home to go back to.

By go home, I mean find something else to do. Like hand out resumes to other places.

there is no way in hell, I'd be standing on a corner holding signs that say what everybody already knows.

Re: Target is leaving canada

As someone that worked there, I can confirm that it wasn't any of us standing out there on the coldest days of the year.

It was some third party company that found people for that job.

But even then no amount of pay is worth standing out in the cold for god knows how long.

I think it has somthing to do with the bankruptcy - a creditor of some sort comes in and takes charge. I doubt Target paid for it.
