Re: Target is leaving canada

Theories as to why they failed are a dime a dozen.
I think the bigger news is that more people are missing Target than was expected.

I'd say they were over-vilified. Sure their product selection and pricing was similar to walmart, but they did have some exclusives, e.g. TFs & Bluray/Video game bonuses. They also were more aggressive with moving stock than walmart and things got clearanced much quicker. Add in those in-house coupons and $10-$15 Voyagers weren't that rare. You just had to put in the effort to find the deals.

Fat chance, but I really do hope they come back sometime.

Tis Yups.
It also gave an alternative to Walmart where you could get some actual customer service.

As for coming back to Canada, if their CEO could spend billions here, then fail, then still get a fat bonus paycheck, this proves anything can happen.

Target just needs to put a clause in the fat bonus saying Target Canada must do reasonably well financially. Then maybe the top fat cats will take their business seriously.

Target never left. They just got rebranded! Walget? Tar-Mart?
