Re: Blackout/Scorponok TRU 2pack - we getting?

I believe we've gotten pretty much every TRU exclusive since RID Scourge and AAOP; even if some TRUs didn't get the Op Vs. Megs BWX set I'm certain somewhere they were released in Canada, or maybe they're sitting in the back waiting for the movie push so TRU can try to sell off their stock that way.

Personally I don't see why we wouldn't get it; TRU exclusives have been a constant unlike Wal-Mart Canada who refuses to stock or perhaps refuses to participate in their exclusive items simply because of the whole Bilingual/Trilingual packaging requirment.

Who knows why Wal-Mart doesn't; it's a real shame since they miss out on getting some more money from us, but meh what ya gonna do?

Re: Blackout/Scorponok TRU 2pack - we getting?

wal-mart canada isnt respected by wal-mart US. when i worked there, the general consensus between employees, managers, and even the owner was that wal-mart US only considered wal-mart canada as a source of spare change. they dont consider canada as a viable market, but want in anyways because we do have money.

because of this, we dont seem to get any exclusives. though i have seen one or two sam's club exclusives leaking into wal-marts.

Did we get any Megatron or Optimus Primal from the 10 anniversaru line? The 2 pack or the new molds that were repainted for cybertron (guess sales weren't well)...I renamed those figues Apelinq and Predacon :P

I think you're right, but the repainted molds from Cybertron were Mass Market releases not Store Exclusives. BWX was a good idea, but charging as much as they did when we didn't get the DVDs included in the packaging coupled with the fact that most kids were used to figures with gimmicks and Beast Wars was a faded concept in their minds the BWX line had no choice but to fail. I'm just glad I got four out of six of the first run assortment; I still need Dinobot and Rattrap to complete Trans-Mutate, but since I got the Cybertron versions of individual Primal and Megatron I think I'll just get the Vs. pack if I ever find it for my BW/BWX collection. The auto-transform gimmick coupled with a lack of any iconic weapons IE his SWORDS makes the BWX Primal mold with the Cyber-Key Surfboard rather poor in my opinion.

Yeah - the reissue Primal is awesome. Him and Megs are pretty bang-on to their animation models. Plus Primal's so much fun because he's armed to the teeth - arm cannon, mace, two swords, and shoulder cannons.

Never thought the day would come when a Prime/Primal was better armed than any of the Decepticons.

Yeah - Soundwave has got to be one of the longest waits we've EVER had for a reissue.

Funny - I was super-ecstatic we were getting him back in December. Now it's almost half a year later.
