Re: Adult Lego Fans

I've been thinking about the toyshow option, there's a twice annually toy show here in edmonton but I've never been there and I'd rather check the place out before I think about getting a table. I'll give Kijiji a look in the meantime, thanks!

Yeah, throw some set numbers up here first so we can fight for it like a pack of hyenas!

I bought and built the Cantina set. Minuscule is an understatement.

So you think the Cantina set is tiny?

It's an iconic scene for sure. What are your thoughts? Personally, I think LEGO didn't do it justice. A Cantina set without Ponda Baba and Dr. Evistan is just sacrilege. Why doesn't Obi-wan come with a hood, or does it? Take some pics, curious to see it next to your Simpsons house in terms of scale.

I'm hoping they do a part two and add the full bar with seating and include the bartender, Chewie, orange Sandtrooper, the rest of the Cantina band and some other notable bar flies. Throw in R2 and 3P0 for good measure. That Dewback and Landspeeder though, awesome upgrade!

I dont plan on getting it myself but I tend to agree. It's less of a cantina scene and more of a mishmash of Mos Eisley stuff. It's great that they did a dewback and a new landspeeder but I'd have rather seen more cantina booths and barflys.

I agree with you.

Multi, it is a fun little set. Little being the operative word there. It is not worth the $90 (I paid $72) unless you really want the Dewback, which is cool, and the minifigures. It has a door that opens and closes with a slide, which is cool, but the room it opens on to is so small it is worthless. I will post pictures.

Don't have a lot of Star Wars sets, just the new-ish Snowspeeder and AT-AT, and they're not for sale yet...
Most of what I have is from the City theme and a couple modulars, I'll post what I have below:

City Cargo
60020 Cargo Truck
60021 Cargo Heliplane
60022 Cargo Terminal

City Coast Guard
60012 4X4 + Diving Boat
60013 Coast Guard Helicopter
60014+60011 Coast Guard Patrol, + Surfer Rescue

City, other
60018 Cement Mixer

4202 Mining Truck
4430 Fire Transporter

Avengers
6868 Hulk's Helicarrier Breakout(missing one vertical tailfin for the small jet)
6869 Quinjet Aerial Battle

Modulars
10197 Fire Brigade
10218 Pet Shop
10224 Town Hall
10232 Palace Cinema

I think I have a couple more, but I can't recall what they are offhand. I don't have any prices in mind yet, but if you want to make me an offer, please do!
