DIY Combiner Wars Devastator Upgrade

As many of us are aware, there are some inherent weaknesses to the combiner wars devastator. The most glaring shortcoming from that figure is Mixmaster's cab. I was reluctant to fork over a significant amount of $$$ to correct that problem, and decided to work on a DIY solution.

There was a version of the ROTF Mixmaster (great vehicle mode btw) that was done in the traditional Constructicon colour scheme.

I was able to obtain this figure from a board member, and got to work. Fortunately the front cab portion can be detached easily without much work. However, the mod soon became more involved as the dremel saw started spinning. The final result is a new Mixmaster cab in combined mode, as well as a new gun made from the Mixmaster rear portion. Have a look at the picture and let me know what you think!

Ive always liked that truck mode. Never a fan of the gangly robot mode.
Does your mod transform and stay in place?. Looks badass.

Funny thing about the reversed cement mixer. Ive seen pictures of them but never seen one on my jobsite in the last twenty years. All of them are the traditional cab forward design.
Why would hasbro decide to go with such an obscure design?
So they wouldnt have engineer a more complex limb to make the comvination work. Lazy.

Re: DIY Combiner Wars Devastator Upgrade

The mod does not stay in truck mod or robot mode. I'm sure someone clever can figure out a way to do it. For me it just needed to cover the unsightly left foot.

The cement truck "gun" was an after thought. It's a bit heavy so Devy can't pose with it up.

Thanks for the comments guys

the green actually mayches quite well.
if anything,i'd paint the cab windows purple to match scavengers.

i'm doing something similar inbetween other projects paint curing times, but i'm using a dollar store cab over firetruck front cab.i just like the cab over engine look more
