Ummm... that was kind of my point. Back in G1 they were $8-$10 so with inflation their adjusted price would be somewhere around $16-$20.

Re: TRU Perceptor & Insecticons - Buy now or wait it out ?

TRU probably have learnt their lesson after the G1 Commemorative Series when they re-issued Soundwave last time around - they didn't flood the shelves with it. They will probably do the same for Perceptor and Insecticons. And, unlike G1 Prime which has been re-issued a couple of times already in Canada, even w/o considering the Japan market ones, these are available first time for the Canadians/US market. I doubt these will be shelf-warmers IMHO.

On the other hand if their pulled a G1 re-issue Commemorative Hoist or G1 Prime things will be different...

And they seem to be selling out fast wherever they come in stock. I would get it now. And I have. Ha!

How much for the Japanese Takara version years ago ? I have no idea if $49 is reasonable if I didn't see the listing price of the Jap version. listing price, not value price

I would pick up the Insecticons right away. Perceptor not so much, I could see him warming shelves for awhile. $49.99 is not a bad price considering I paid $59.99 for both when they were released with the TFC collection, mind you they both came with posters, collector's card, Perceptor had the spring in his gun and the Insecticons came with those nifty Energon cubes.

I know I struggled with the Insecticons myself today, but I put them back since I already had a set. I need to stop doubling up on toys.

This thread still active? Was browsing the Canadian TRU website. Inseticons are apparently on sale. $39.97. From Nov 13 to 19.

No information on Perceptor?

Considering the TFC Insecticons go for like $150 I'd say $50 is a steal.

sadly, I grabbed Perceptor the second I saw him, but I don't think he was worth 50 bucks plus tax at TRU.

I'd personally say wait it outl especially since the missile launcher that comes with it doesn't even hold the missile in xD
