The only problem with this is that most kids now have several Bumblebees. Parents can't tell them apart. I can't count the number of times I have heard a parent say to a child "But you already have Bumblebee."
Bumblebee is immediately recognizable to kids, and they will reach for him. But I think Bumblebee saturation is reaching them now, too. At $16.99 a pop, parents are not going to buy every Bumblebee that their kid sees.
I can see Hasbro's logic for including more of him because he does sell, and when push comes to shove, parents and kids recognize him and will buy him. But parents are not going to subsidize Bumblebee collections, and a little more balance in the assortment would be better for everyone.
Wouldn't you think they'd want to be in the situation where the cases sell out so that retailers want to order more? Daft logic, I know...
