Re: Canadian Slag Episode 57 - Party of Five
Great podcast as usual guys. What was that music at the end? That was an unexpected treat.
Also, in regards to the Shout! Takara sets, did the Australian sets from a few years ago have the same barriers ans problems? It's an interesting thought.

Madman's DVDs are without a doubt, the best DVD sets of any Transformers origins. Their releases of the Takara sets are everything I wanted the Shout Factory ones to be.
The Headmasters ones had both a proper subtitles set in Japanese dialogue as well as teh Omni (Star TV) dub if you really wanted it. It also had tons of extras included the toy commercials from Takara that were rejected by Shout.
The same would go for Masterforce
Their Victory release was by far the most impressive (Again everything I wanted that Shout Factory rejected). They not only had everything listed above, but also the Zone Special included, and translated story pages of Victory, Zone, Battlestars Return of Convoy and Operation Combination, so you knew what happened till the true end of G1.
Such a shame........

Re: Canadian Slag Episode 57 - Party of Five
So why would Takara let Madman have all those bells and whistles and stuff but not Shout? That's what really has me scratching my head.

It's the Transformers theme by Powerglove from the album Saturday Morning Apocalypse.

Cause Shout likes their DVD releases to have a budget of 3 bucks. If you look at the DVD credits, everyone works for free, only Brian Ward gets payed.

I didn't know that. It's a shame, yes, but I can understand them not wanting to invest too much on the Takara stuff. As much as we may not like it, I'm sure they would be a hard sell.
Thanks for the info, Phill. I'll have to look into that song.

Re: Canadian Slag Episode 57 - Party of Five
I think this is the 2nd most wacky podcast thus far.
Gizmo's back!!!
To the person who mentioned/suggested the RiD car brothers to be in the new Generations line...
I foresee Universe 2.0 Ironhide mold to be X-Brawn, and Generations Red Alert to be Prowl.
I never got the Shout's Masterforce DVD set, so it's not worth getting?
The music at the end was pretty nifty.
EDIT:
Listening to the podcast again...I wonder how big of a raucous if someone had suggested: Zac Efron and Justin Bieber playing Sunstreaker and Sideswipe?
