My 5 and 8 year love it so far, and I'm pretty sure they are the target audience, not us 30+yr olds. I can assure you this will get at least 3 seasons.

I thought it looked really good like it had a lot of potential and I cannot wait for it to start to air here as it look fun and has good character designs.

It's fun, and that's all TF's need to be.

Not impressed so far. I really dislike the Decepticon designs so far and I hate side swipe. Not very hopeful with this new series, not a good successor to prime.

Re: RiD episodes 1 and 2

I don't know. I think it's a refreshing follow up to Prime's gloom and doom. It feels very Animated. This is obviously targeted to the younger audience. And I'm quite enjoying the comedy. Strong Arm and Sideswipe are like squabbling siblings. Haha.

For my serious TF fix, I'll just read the comics.

I think right now they're producing something for everyone. RID for the kids. Combiner Wars for the big kids, and I'm cool with that.

Re: RiD episodes 1 and 2

I just finished episodes 4 and 5 and wow!
I couldn't believe it, I didn't like episodes 1-3 much at all but you know what? Episodes 4 and 5 actually got worse. Haha. Except for chop shop I don't like a single character in the show and that hasn't happened to me while watching any other tf show. I am already tired of the animal based Decepticon. I'll give it 2 more Eps and then I'm official out.

It does skew very young. But it's the animation that I find most off-putting. It looks like a Pokemon cartoon, which I was unfortunately subjected to when my nephew was into that. I find myself unable to watch a second episode.

I hope the kids enjoy it.

What about us adults? We have to watch re-runs of G1, Beast Wars/Beast Machine, Armada, RID, Cybertron, Energon, Animated and Prime?

And as adults, we realise that HASBRO MAKES CARTOONS PRIMARILY FOR CHILDREN AND THAT WE ARE A SECONDARY CONCERN AT BEST!

Hasbro IS NEVER going to make a cartoon whose goal is to entertain adults primarily. IF we are entertained by their shows too, then fantastic! But if we adult collectors don't like a cartoon, HASBRO DOESN'T CARE!!
