the finished and combined form of the protectobots.
to date,this may be one of the most stable/sturdy combiners i've built yet.
articulation points are=
shoulders rotate and raise/lower
head swivels
both elbows swivel and bend/fold
hands open/close
waist swivels
hip articulation
both knees bend
almost all the joints or pivot points are either ratcheting or tight hole and plug attachment.
there's also a few rare earth magnets in there for good measure.
fully combined,defensor stands at 17" tall,22" if you count and extend the main rotors on blades like a giant spinning scythe of death.
i tried to take the pics in a way that singled out the connection points,then made red squares around them.
hopefully by revealing how he comes together it helps inspire others who'll make even more and better combiners.
these are the parts required to make him,minus the individual bots.with out these or these without the bots and you don't have defensor.
this time around i didn't bother making the extra combiner chunks useful in any other form becuase defensor's probably going to stay in giant mode on the shelf.
