Car Decals

Something a bit fun and different - Transformers car decals. I'm an Autobot, Starscream Girlfriend is a Decepticon - a match made in heaven?

Re: Car Decals

I'll call that more of an emblem than a decal, still very nice.

Well I never put them on the paint. On my old car I had them on the back window. Before I sold the car I took them off & it did leave a mark on the window. Of course the ones I had were the white sticker decals so not really the same as the ones in this video.

Re: Car Decals

They are easy to remove use WD40. The plastic or metal decals ruin the paint when removed. I had the Decepticon one o my old truck it tarnished within 3 months and when I removed it the paint was bubbling where it was applied. I would recommend using vinyl decals instead. I have had both on my old truck. I recommend the vinyl decals as they last the longest. The ones in the video are good for indoor use. They use a poor chrome on these types of emblems.

Not really hard, no, as the metal piece isn't actually stuck on to the vehicle itself. the adhesive beneath is the main place. I haven't removed them, but I have removed the like way back when I was a car detailer. It takes great patience and be delicate, but that would be true for anything stuck on a vehicle

Ahh, yes, emblem IS a nicer word, lol, wish I had thought of it.

Really? Why would it bubble? I have never seen anything like that before when I have removed similar things, like gas tank covers and such. Is any chrome a good chrome lol? Joking of course.

Re: Car Decals

Before anyone asks, how have I removed these in the past safely? I have thoroughly soaked the area, preferably with hot water and on a pretty hot day. Using something plastic, lego separator or, like, a credit card, I have slowly nudged away at many areas to slightly loosen it. It takes awhile and go slow. Will likely need to re-set the area a few times.Once it pops off, you MIGHT need a little adhesive remover after. No biggie. Then finally wash and wax the area. Should work. Has for me in the past. Not hard, just kind of time consuming.
