Re: Transformers Collectors Club, is it worth the money?

the best price, for Canadians is the "First class" $58.
-ok does this magazine really belong to hasbro? because the reviewers are getting paid by them

-how much % are the discounts? looked it over, and the repaints are cheaper then remolds

-how exlusive are their news? fan sites can finds things earlyer then they do.

only 6 months with 16 pages, I find to low for $60.
for example nintendo power does it for every month with 100+ pages for low as $20 and far as $60.

anything I should know?

Re: Transformers Collectors Club, is it worth the money?

Totally NOT worth the price.
The only reason most people have memberships to that thing, is because if you're a member, it makes the cost of going to botcon cheaper. By becoming a member you save $60 off the cost of entrance to botcon. So botcon is essentially saying: We know this club sucks, we'll give you $60 off entry to become a member.

The exclusive figs, usually go on the secondary market for approx 30 (usually less, depending on the size)

The only exclusive figure to date that people have really been after was the punch/counterpunch

News - by the time we get the magazine in canada, all the news has been posted on tfw2005 for several weeks.

so no, definitely not worth it unlessyou plan on going to botcon
