I think this challenge is stupid. You rather waste clean, fresh water for a cause as an excuse for not donating money. I really don't get the fad. I rather pay the money then waste water we need which is becoming less and less as time goes on.

I agree.

Im all for donating money to help fund research, but i think this whole bucket of ice water thing is retarded.

But if the entertainment factor can rally more people to donate, isn't that good?

As for water waste, a bucket is not a huge lot compared to other non-essential water usages.
People use waaaay more to wash cars and other stuff.

Actually, I believe the rules are:

1) Accept the challenge AND donate $10
2) Don't accept the challenge and donate $100

Although I will say that Charlie Sheen's ALS ice bucket challenge video is the coolest one that I've seen so far.
