It was mentioned early in the campaign that it was likely to ship from within Canada to avoid import fees. Also why shipping is so cheap for something so big. But yeah, the exchange rate sucks right now..

Subtotal $574.99
Shipping $29.99
ONTARIO HST $48.40
CANADA GST/TPS $30.25
Total $683.63 USD

Note that you pay regular taxes rather than duties, and shipping is just 30USD. Using your credit card is already a solid way to get a good exchange rate.

Hope that info helps. This is a really cool opportunity, take the plunge if you can! And if 2021 rolls around and you've changed your mind, you can certainly resell at cost if not at profit.

I am.

But it is within my means.

If you have any doubt if you should pay that much there is no doubt you shouldn't.

It's funded! It was never going to not get funded. I wonder what the final tally will be when the campaign closes.

Re: Complete HasLab Unicron Offerings Video

Ok - so now that this thing has been (some would say "miraculously") customer funded... I'm hoping someone who may know more about production and such can explain to me why the almost-2 year delay, now?

Like - They have the models/moulds(?) and extras set to roll... what's the hold up? Does it really take that much more to get these things from the state they are now to mass-produced and boxed?

(Honestly, I may have caved if the turn-around wasn't so extreme... I mean shit - I may not even be alive by the time it would get here! )

Molds haven’t been cut yet. Everything so far is from their 3D printer.
