The big issue is we have seen this transformation and engineering too many times already (Diaclone 1981/G1 1985, Energon 2003, Animated 2008), so for the Masterpiece to do this after all this time, that's not cool guys.

There is no better way to start a new year of Canadian Slag than with more Gizmo. Yay Gizmo! Great stuff guys! But don't work too hard, we don't need you burning out early in the year. 
As for MP Grimlock, I'll grab him as soon as I find him when Hasbro releases him hear. Wile he may not quite work as a Masterpiece for some, I think I wouldn't be alone in saying that he would make a great Ultra/Leader class Classics Grimlock.

I like Masterpiece Grimlock alot, but as others have said, he's not much of a "Masterpiece" compared to the other MP's released. He's a great (though overpriced) figure, but I probably wouldn't have picked him for my top 3 of 2009, even if voting was allowed for him.
Hmmm, this whole MP Grimlock discussion sounds like an excellent topic for a future edition of Canadian Slag...or how about you guys run down the Masterpiece line thus far, and then speculate about the future of the line!
