MP22 Reissue purchase question

Thought I'd ask the more seasoned members about their thoughts.

I have a pre-order at NY for MP22 as follows, shipped via SAL Registered.

Total products (tax incl.): 12,280¥
Total shipping (tax incl.): 2,740¥
Total: 15,020¥

And another one at AA :

Total products (tax incl.): 13,520 JPY
Total shipping (tax incl.): ???
Total: ???

I'm just not sure who to go with at this point. I've got no basis for comparison at this point.

The only shipping options I see for AA are either EMS or Other [SAL/Air Parcel]. No mention of registered or not. I've heard not-so-friendly things about NY's shipping rates...Also, I'm assuming they'd ban me if I don't honour my preorder on either NY or AA.

If you keep both, and as long as the shipping from AA is reasonable, I'd bet you'd have no trouble selling one here on the forums. I'd certainly be interested at a price near 15,000 yen (plus in-Canada shipping)...

I find that AA ends up cheaper overall but the difference won't be huge

At the end, both will cost roughtly the same. Nippon cost less in the figure but more on the shipping while amiami usually cost less on the shipping. But Nippon can undervalue while amiami has to declare the value. Lower risk to get hit on custom than amiami

$33 CAD shipping from NY. Is that SAL or EMS? Doesn't seem that high to me.

Registered SAL. Having never ordered from AA, I an uncertain the approx price for comparable shipping.

Last time I ordered MP-22 from NY. it costed me 15,270¥ (13,280¥ for MP-22 PLUS 1,990¥ Registered SAL shipping)

But NY actually shipped with EMS because MP-22 is clearly over the SAL weight limit. That's the one time NY undercharge shipping. otherwise NY has been overcharging their shipping rate.

As DC implied, N-Y's shipping prices have raised a fair bit of concern lately. They were first, but shipping cost seems to be on the rise from Japan to Canada generally.

The exception seems to be AmiAmi. Ironhide was almost 1000 JPY less than AE.

I would say, if the toy is worth $200 CAD (having owned it I can say it probably is) then you are doing alright with NY. Also, as previously said, if you get both, you should be able to recover your the additional outlay by selling one.

Lastly, I don't think they'll ban you for one offence. But cancel early if you are going to (and offer an apology).
