Well at least for the Hasbro products at major retailers you get to rumble through the packages to pick the best one. For the Takara ones there is less choice at shops and you get what you get when ordered online.

Yeah that's the only advantage we got here. We can pick out the cleanest figure and that's what I did with my Sideswipe. His alt mode was free from excessive paint but then all that careful picking was for nothing as Sideswipe's robot mode reared his ugly raccoon head with the terrible paint job. I learned you can't win often with Hasbro... unless you're Hound.

Haha! I always win!

It's probably just that very minor imperfections don't bother me at all because I take them for what they are; children's toys. I would have much higher standards if I were purchasing something labeled "masterpiece" for example.

I think only the Canadian G1'ers would know Bert Raccoon of "The Raccoons" cartoon.
LMAO, now this is funny, lol

My C2.0 Hound and Ani Swindle both suffer from sticky paint, I have to avoid touching some parts. Sucks.

Besides, Henkei might get some color that I don't want and I actually pay more price than the Hasbro one. I might stick to the Hasbro one and find time to repaint it to something I like.

Yep, especially comparing ~$7 for a Hasbro deluxe vs ~$30 for a Henkei. I guess I can take an ugly paint job with Hasbro rather than paying 4 times the price for somewhat less than perfect Henkei.
