I think the car part transforms into Hot Rod and then you can connect Hot Rod to his trailer to form Rodimus. Kinda like RID 2001 Optimus Prime. The cab part formed Optimus and then he can connect with the rest of his fire truck to form Super Optimus.

There is a deluxe Hot Rod who "powers up" with a Prime Master in his matrix to connect with the trailer to become Leader class Rodimus. The deluxes legs are the arms. I personally think leader is too big, bu5 cool gimmick idea. I am thinking along the lines of the old Protector armour for Classics Hot Rod. The backpack on this new guy though is huge.

Beachcomber, Dreadwind & Darkwing for sure. Jazz would make an interesting Gobots Crasher if retooled and turne backwards
