Re: Amazon.ca Deals

True dat.

Skytread is about 23$. Less than 25% off plus tax.

Why does Amazon do that? For the most part, Jazz was like most of the SS figures; full price forever. Sometimes it’s that full price that’s a couple of dollars less (Ex: SS Deluxe is 25.59$). Now, it’s price is sinking like nothing, and it’s not stopping. How?

Algorithms. Basically a program monitors sales vs stock vs however many other factors and adjusts prices until the item meets minimum thresholds. No human is adjusting the price, just an algorithm with thresholds around stock/volume sold/etc.

With SS Jazz one thing I saw was that he didnt come up in the main Transformers category when just browsing. He could have been mis-tagged on entry creation leading to lower sales/interest so the algorithm takes over.

The machines have already started to take over.

Maybe this is their way of toying with us first before enslaving humanity.

I dont think theyll make the same mistake again and now TRU is already dead in the states so there wont be stock leftover to ship at clearance stores.
What mistake? Its just routine. these are 200$ toys and hasbro unloads thousands of them. Many collectors will buy some the day they drop, but not thousands, the world isnt that rich. It's been like that with every single titan toy so far starting with Metroplex, they always drop in price. It's more about whether you want it now or are willing to wait a bit.
these titans make a great item for cyber monday discounts since they are big ticket items (you'll still end up paying over 100$ for it, but it will be a significant discount regardless).

These are not limited collectables.

Exactly, and Amazon honors this policy to a tee.
