Same for me, it was a good show and I left with a bunch of video games including some Atari and NES games I was searching for.

Got one toy from the con. Pretty good.

Saw an older lady eyeing a G1 rumble (yes the blue one) and I decided to let it go. She immediately went for it grabbing it and pushing away my nephews and my kids. No one got hurt. Found it hilarious.

Saw a familiar white dude and tapped him on shoulders. Sold me a few bots. Turned out to be SMOG.

Yeah, the Retro Expo was fun. Lots of stuff, though in the end, I only bought a few things due to budget and my schedule. It wasn't as crowded as last time, but on the other hand, not quite as buys either. We gotta hype up the next one...

Hockey tape huh? hmm. Isn't that too thick?
Yeah, lucky, right? They chose a bunch of regular loudmouths at TF2005 like myself as part of the testing demographic. Someone recommended me to XTB. I guess notoriety has its privileges.

Depending on the size of the joints, I find hockey tape is perfect. It's thick, but it still can compress a bit... plus the cloth surface offers more friction. Usually one strip does the trick.

For smaller figures, I usually use clear nail polish.

I don't blame her. They never made a G1 blue Rumble, so it must be rare.

Honestly, when I moved here, yes. My first thoughts were: " Great I have racist thoughts already and I've only been here for 3 days. Will I ever find a girl here who doesn't look like a guy?"

Especially if you previously lived in an country with close to 0 Caucasians. Watching white peeps on TV did not help.

I was only 13 at the time and quickly learned that our mind/eyes needs a bit of time to discern ethnic faces. Took a very long time for me to be able to say that to anyone. Even my own brother.

Btw SMOG, since this came up, you do look a little bit like Mr. Grey.

I'm not sure if we should just chalk that up to the "all white guys look the same" factor, but I will accept comparisons to hollywood heart-throbs without qustioning.

I think I've historically been able to tell ethnic faces apart... just don't ask me to remember anybody's names!

There has been numerous studies on the cross-race effect. I find it really cool that I experienced it mysel first hand.

When I was single I remember writing numbers on my pack of cigs but always forget to write the names. When the person calls me to ask why I haven't called, I just blame the the pack of cigs containing a number with no name. If I decide to meet up I just ask how the person spells her name. not sure how I survived being single.

"What's your name again?"

"It's Michelle..."

"No, I know your name, Michelle. I mean what's your LAST name?"
