C'était dément de le voir Ã* la TV, ce serais encore plus dément de le voir en personne

If anything, it's a waste of time... though it's hard to waste too much time with just 6 channels (and only 3 anglo ones for me). But I do enjoy having a TV so I can watch movies or play video games at a decent size.

We have a flatscreen TV, but not cable/satellite. I just find it a waste of money when I already pay for unlimited internet and just stream stuff from there. (Heck the Flatscreen has a spare PC attached to it for that reason, sure we see it a day later but it doesn't matter.)

Have 2 big screen TVs in my house and honestly, if you have the internet...... why even bother. I never use my TVs.... like EVER. Only for console gaming.

Re: The Montreal/Quebec Local Fans Banter Thread

I'd rather watch movies and TV sitting on a couch than on my computer screen. More comfy, more sociable. I wish it wasn't such a hassle to route stuff from my PC to my TV for streaming or downloaded content.

I agree that cable is a waste of time and money. But the digital channels still come in on the antenna (clear as day too), so I still tune in for the Daily Show every now and again. When I say "antenna" I mean that literally. I have an old set of rabbit-ears sitting on top of my HD flatscreen TV. A little bit of old and new.

I can understand that. It's why I sit on my couch, have my laptop on the coffee table and full screen stream episodes of crap. The internet is a beautiful thing.

Like everyone said, I love displaying my laptop on my TV screen. I was actually thinking about getting "Android on a stick" to skip the whole setting up a laptop with cables step and just leave a dongle in the TV
