Unfortunately nothing is scared anymore. Not even the very production of HNIC...when CBC's contract expires in 2010 or 2011 with the NHL, TSN is taking it over.
When the last round of contracts were renewed with CBC and TSN, TSN let CBC keep HNIC going and basically publically stated that at the end of these sets of contracts between CBC and the NHL, TSN will outbid and take over the production of Saturday night games. CBC won't have enough money.
So enjoy your HNIC while it lasts, a Canadian Tradition is coming to an end.
