Generations Insecticons

I don't have any Generations Insecticons yet, and I'm wondering if I should pick up TR Kickback and track down the other two, or hope for a future re-release of all three in the same colour scheme.

So I'm looking for opinions on the likelihood of an eventual re-release. What do you think?

I think you should:

1.pick up TR Kickback
2.track down the other two and pick them up
3.pick up the future re-release of all three

They are very likely to be a 3pack in Japan at some point. But there is never a guarantee.

I wouldn't hold out for a box set of all three. Get TR Kickback and track down Generations Skrapnel and CW Bombshell if you can. CW Chop Shop (Skrapnel repaint) is nice too, if you want more Insecticons beyond the original trio.

Go for it. Scrapnel/Shrapnel's a nice figure, so is Hardshell/Bombshell. Kickback looks pretty good too.

But why stop there? Waspinator's got a Gen release, and there's Chop Shop. Plus the minicons/weapons Chop Shop and Waspinator that came with Legends Megatron and Starscream.

If there's going to be any re-releases, count on them being done like Chop Shop, featuring the Deluxe Insecticon decos. Then get them too.

Like the others stated get them all including Chop Shop! I also suggest getting the Takara insecticons (Bombshell and Shrapnel) as well and Botcon Zaptrap.

I have some extra Hasbro Shranels and a Botcon Zaptrap that I'm wiling to get rid off, PM if you are interested.

I can't find either Kickback or Gnaw at the WM or TRU I've been to (I'm in Ontario now).

I'd buy Kickback for sure. I owned all the Gen Insecticons, including the FOC Kickback. I sold them all, but bought back CW Bombshell when he was on clearance...mainly because there's no denying what a great little figure he is. I don't miss Skrapnel, but I did like his little 'Reflector' video camera accessory. And FOC Kickback was just a mistake...didn't like it at all.

This new Kickback looks great and I'll pick one up on sight. I hope if they chose to release them as a set (which they will, guaranteed, at some point) they re-release Skrapnel. He's just too small, although after reviewing my G1 Insecticons, he's not that far off in terms of proportion to the others!

But they need...NEED to have a matching colour scheme, and that's what a future box set would take care of.

Still, no risk in picking one up now. If you can find him. Which I haven't. But I wish you luck!
