Re: lazy seller is charging for local pick up on a local pick up only sale.

There are plenty of ebay stores in the GTA doing this. Most pickup fees are about $6-7, and ebay.ca doesn't care, they're still making money from them.

I've ordered from them before and I've had no problems. I've gotten an invoice, but I'm not sure how much they really declare to Canada Revenue (probably not as much).

If you live in a major metropolitan city, you will probably find sellers like these, they buy the returned/opened items from major stores and just sell them off on ebay.

Cash is allowed for payment, especially for local pickup, they just don't want to pay the paypal fees. And there are options to list an ebay auction for local pickup only, I'm not sure if they know how to or that they can't, since they're listing it on their store.

On the front page, I only saw the title as:
lazy seller is charging for

so I had to guess the rest.
You know how they have a picture of their merchandise and write 'plz email me for additional pics' ?

I thought the fiasco would be:

lazy seller is charging for sending additional pictures.

hum, paying 10 bucks or under for Roadbuster and Dirge is already a good deal. I never found a toy store which has this kind of deal in BC.
they can just use ebay for advertising and add some feedbackfor reputation. Some local buyer like me would want to pay cash sometimes rather than paypal. Soemtimes Ebaying is easier to find the stuff than local craigslisting.

I think that it might be a returned item, its opened "as is" could be a damaged or defective unit, they could have bought it at one of those clearance bins of returned items that sears has once in a while, I wish they posted a pic of the item and not a stock photo.

If there are defects, the sellers usually posts pictures of the defect. Otherwise, the item sold is in new condition.

So we hope; but you never know.

Maybe part of the defects are "The comic is missing!"

$6~7 pick up fee + additional % of service charge or tax are still good deal with 1 Deluxe + 1 Voyagers. There is no way to get it from regular mailing for 10 dollars as well. Too bad I have never seen it happened in B.C. and I will totally go nuts about it.

the seller says that it is new in an opened package, its untested and sold as is. if it is opened it is not new it is used. It is possible that they bought it at a returned item sale, I've seen a few of them, returned items sold cheap as is... no returns.
