I am here to promote UT Warlord because everyone says MMC is the best...and it is...but for a great Geewun feel and "holy cow that looks good" proportions you just can't beat this guy. Individual bot and beast modes are fantastic!

Caveats: The plastic is a tad bit soft and waxy, but not bad, the legs are a bit on the loose side, but not awful...and everything else is pure gold. Plus the prices have dropped to the point of being fair.

I know few will buy this guy, but those that do will enjoy him.

Echotransformer, actually from your 1st pic, G1 + CD looks even better than UT. Of course that's just my own opinion.
UT version looks too slim, TFC Hercules can beat the hell out of it, from the 2nd pic.

I honestly would recommend MMC's Predaking. I have Bovis (Fortis is shipping) and it has surpassed my expectations, mainly for what's been stated already, but the quality of material and engineering is wicked. It's money well spent. A solid, heavy figure. Goes well in the MP display case but a little oversized for the classics/generations display. I guess it depends where you'll place him but he promises to be colossal.

I can't speak for the others, besides G1 but I prefer my G1's classic and not upgraded. :P

Know what you should do is buy Platinum Predaking and have him standing on the original Predaking's shoulders. This way he looks bigger than the rest.

...or go with the many many options out there.
UT does look nice, but I don't want a G1 feel, I want a G1 re-envisioned feel, something MMC is doing, much like why I liked Green Giant more than Herc. G1 was great when I was 6, now I prefer them upgraded to AWESOME!!

I recently got TFC Hercules for $399 + shipping; definitely saved a nice bundle since most places ask for way more.

I really like those hands of the UT version.

Man as much as I want to get this figure I have to remind myself that MP Ultra Magnus is going to cost around $300 to buy and overall I've only budgetd about $800 for Transformer figures this year....

If you are in for a Predaking I would go with MMC. See the trend here? lol

They are two figures in so we know the quality of these pieces. Top notch, solid and the one elbow issue so far is getting a complete fix. They are the best value and the individual bots have the most character out of the bunch.

TFC will only give you more of the same garbage with weak joints, weird colour choices and over priced upscaled deluxes. UT is good if you are a Diehard G1er or if your bundget is SUPER tight because IIRC they are a wee bit cheaper. UT is also all out so if you can not wait UT can be for you.

But I suggest MMC, Once you get the complete Feral rex you can expend his story by adding Felisaber (Catilla alternate arm) and Predaqueen(because we all love femmebots)

$800 in one year AND you collect MPs and 3P figures?

At the end of the year I would love to talk to you and see what you got for $800 and what you had to leave behind.

My budget (argh Im on a budget this year) is way higher than that and I still have to make cuts.
