the larger opening is supposed to go forward, it fits perfectly in the takara version that way, and is also packaged that way in it and in all takara stock photography (hasbro may not be able to photograph their stuff, but takara seems to do just fine in that aspect)

Re: QC Issues for Hasbro Masterpiece Optimus Prime

The first run from Tomy/takara had qc issues the 2nd release most if not all of these have been repaired lets hope hasbro is smart enough to do the same , being that tomys version was out well over a year(long enough for tomy to fix the complaints) you would have thought that Hasbro would have picked up on the first generations faults and corrected it before a NA release I find Hasbros ever growing lack of Qc and now a use of what seems to be cheaper grade/thinner plastics, smaller product/higher price somewhat of a concern and a reason I am now selective when it comes to purchasing Hasbro products,.. seems they are loosing the magic

Re: My masterpiece Optimus problems

I had that problem initially as well and I believe even Vangelus pointed out that problem in his review of the Takara version.

However after playing around with it for a while, I realized there was a THIRD TAB at his feet.

His feet slide inwards and connect together in truck mode and after I got that third tab pegged in, the legs stopped popping apart.

If that still doesn't work, plugging in the trailer should do the trick nicely.
