Yups, me too. I like the meeting people and events better than the dealer room, although a few nice purchases can definitely leave you smiling all day, too!
Next year they need more events to make it a full convention.
And it was awesome re-seeing you guys after TFcon, and meeting some friends I hadn't seen in a year. Plus 1 guy recognized me from 14 years ago!!

You gatta keep in mind this was a gathering of fans, accessible without leaving the city, $3 entry, relatively not small for a show like this, and in a city that has so few shows at all.
I think by that alone it sounds pretty good; any great purchases would be icing on the cake.

Yes, 3$ it's cheap, usually other conventions will cost 5$ or more.
Speaking of few shows, I dream of a Transformers convention here in Montreal.

Sounds like a toy show, not a convention.

Yes this is relatively inexpensive when you consider a show like anime north is $30-35 a day !
For me personally there was no deals at AN for TF stuff ($250 for MP-05 Megatron :O) but if you want cheap manga then go for it (keeping in mind you need to buy about 10 to account for the admission cost before you start actually saving money...).

Re: [Report] Montreal Toy & sci-fi convention
Honestly I have gone to ALOT of cons and toy shows in Montreal for either selling, helping out a fellow seller or just as a con go'er myself and I NEVER seen a entry fee that low. $3 bucks was a steal, and you got free TF the movie cups/stickers/coasters too if you came early. I have been to conventions in the Olympic Stadium that were $15 bucks to get in and there was NOTHING, wall after wall of Star Wars.
