Halifax/Dartmouth NS - G1 Optimus Prime owners

Hey,

Just picked up what I think is a legit G1 prime on Ebay, but the condition is just amazing, and thus I wonder if it's too good to be real. I've checked the images on TF2005 and everything looks right.

Why I'm doubtful:

Head does not snap down into place, it pops back up.

Sticker sheet not applied.

Box seems to glossy. That said, it is quite dusty.

Came along with a gobot and star wars item that look correct for timeline, but that could be just a toss in to legitimize the Prime.

The box is also American, and I know those tend to be knocked off far more than Canadian.

Basically looking for a collector who has one to come over and view mine, maybe contrast and compare. If it is legit, i am stoked and this will take my typticon's place as the "gemstone" in a future display...but man, I am twitchy right now.

Look at two things... if the grid behind the art is not visible in the sunspot, you may have a KO (box at least). If the grey border going around the box art and up the side of the window extends across the entire top of the window too, then the box is definitely a KO.

This box is a KO... hope it helps you identify with what I'm saying above.

Bruticus,

Anything else you can suggest? The gridlines are present in the sunspot, but the border does go around for the box itself.

Noticeable on my box is the letters. Mine are crisp while this box here the letters are fatter and look smudged.

Back could help for the box, I've seen some things on my old legits. My UPC says "UPC Proof of Purchase" on this one, while my good ones don't have UPC (but are bilingual).

1984 Hasbro Bradley Inc in pawtucket is on the back. I'm used to Longeil Quebc for our Canadian ones.

Shame your in Ontario. Any pics that would be useful to you?

After speaking with python in PM, he gave me the link to the auction and I, unfortunately confirmed that the OP is a KO. I wish stuff like this didn't keep happening, but I can see by the seller's feedback, he didn't have a clue either seeing he doesn't normally sell TFs.
