Re: Finally watched Bumblebee
I'm looking forward to the sequel. The bots weren't a mishmash of metal parts, everyone in the opening sequence was recognisable, it had some cute and funny moments, it didn't feel like an overwhelming product placement explosion movie like the others and the humans were more likable than previous movies. I just wish they would stop with the whole mute Bumblebee shit. Seriously, give him his voice back and let him stand out as a well written character instead of this dumb gimmick

Re: Finally watched Bumblebee
If they're going to have two Decepticons ganging up on one Autobot like that, they should either make it a Dinobot that will make it a short fight or upgrade Bumblebee to Goldbug. We say Goldbug in season three of the G1 cartoons, but I don't remember seeing him in any movies. Bumblebee just isn't as good a fighter when it comes to big and aggressive Decepticons, and it almost looks like a David vs. Goliath scenario.

Well... The least likely can be the most dangerous.

Re: Finally watched Bumblebee
I actually appreciated the battles in TF: Bumblebee. Bee was never the toughest, baddest Autobot in Transformers lore; he's primarily a scout. It makes sense to portray him as an underdog when he's forced to go solo against ruthless Decepticon warriors like Blitzwing, and later Shatter and Dropkick. Going toe-to-toe, he's clearly outmatched, but he's shown to be smart, scrappy and resourceful, taking advantage of the environment and his opponents' missteps to overcome them. I like this version of Bumblebee far more than the badass killer he is in the previous Bay movies.

Re: Finally watched Bumblebee
Blitzwing was a disappointment because they only had him able to turn into the jet. If I were to buy a Blitzwing that's a double changer instead of a triple changer, I'd want one that turns into a tank.

Re: Finally watched Bumblebee
One thing I didn't like is that they killed off Cliffjumper in the movie. He's the first toy I got from the Bumblebee movie, and I still have him and play with him on occasion because I love a Transformer that turns into a perfect replica of a Volkswagen Beetle.

Re: Finally watched Bumblebee
I saw Bumblebee Soundwave and Ironhide for sale, but I don't remember seeing those guys in the movie. What's up with that?

You mean the TR Soundwave that came with "Doombox"? Gotta milk those sculpts, and there's not many other characters a tape-player can be
